Current: 1.2 ft @ 6s • 14 mph wind. wave height is okay but not doing the heavy lifting period is middling and not a big factor either way wind is starting to hurt shape a bit wind direction is fighting the banks and shape
Quiet day — 1.2 ft and not much to work with. Tide shift to low around 5:39 AM could change the picture.

Beginner basics
Where to go
Cocoa is one of the best beginner spots in Florida — pick any beach access well south of the pier and stay between lifeguard towers. Soft sand bottom and forgiving wave.
What to avoid
Don't surf right under the pier — pilings, fishing lines, and surf-school traffic all converge there. Stay aware of rip currents that can form on bigger NE swells.
Best beginner conditions
Knee-to-waist NE or E swell, light W or SW wind, any tide (mid is cleanest). Year-round playground for first sessions.
