Where to go

Supertubos itself is a heavy WSL CT-venue beach break — not a beginner spot. Baleal Norte, the protected north-facing beach 5 minutes north, is where every surf school in Peniche operates.

What to avoid

Supertubos on any size. The closeouts will detonate on you and the rip pushes hard. Even on a small day the wave's power is way above beginner level.

Best beginner conditions

Skip Supertubos and learn at Baleal Norte. Knee-to-waist W swell, light E wind, mid tide. Spring and summer mornings are calmest.
